April

Neah Bay Annual Eagle Festival
This one-day event offers up-close views of the many eagles that congregate in the area in April, the height of mating season. Don't miss the traditional eagle-inspired art and artist demonstrations, eagle lectures, food and more.  

 

May - June

Fishing Derbies
Join fishermen in Sekiu for the annual Halibut Derby or Salmon Derby(s). Check dates (determined by season opening) by visiting the Clallam Bay-Sekiu Chamber website.

Sekiu Fly-in - Memorial Day Weekend
Fly-in to Sekiu airport, or just come out to the airport to watch the display of airplanes.  A delicious breakfast or lunch is usually part of the festivities with proceeds benefiting a community organization.

Clallam Bay-Sekiu Fun Days 
This long standing annual event, held the weekend of the second Saturday in July, combines the best of family, food, fireworks and fun!  Don't miss the Grand Parade on Saturday and the Fun Run on Sunday.  
 

August

Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival - First Saturday in August
This annual event (29+ years and going strong), held in the town of Joyce just 15 miles west of Port Angeles, features legendary blackberry pie!  Festivities also include a parade, a wacky beard and mustache contest, music, antique cars and more.

Makah Days
One of the premier annual festivities in the state, Makah Days celebrates the rich heritage of the Makah people.  Make your camping or motel reservations early and plan to explore Neah Bay.
 

September

Great Strait Sale - 2nd Saturday in September
A 61 mile yard sale... once a year, Highway 112 becomes a haven for shoppers and sellers.

 

October

Hobuck Hoedown 
Don't miss a weekend full of surf kayaking fun at Hoebuck Beach in Neah Bay.  This festival, started in 2005, attracts paddlers from all across Washington, Oregon, California, British Columbia, even Texas and Sweden!  

 

December

Tree Lighting Celebration

People from the Joyce community unite to set up and decorate a 40-foot tree to help celebrate Christmas. The Christmas tree is located just off of Highway 112 between the Blackberry Café and Joyce Bible Church. Check with the community website for dates and a schedue of festivities.
